Sam McElroy, PSYD

As Chief Executive Officer of STRIDE Financial and STRIDE Investments, Sam has always made every effort to go a step beyond your typical financial advisory firm by utilizing “client focused” discovery, planning, and implementation processes aimed at creating tailored solutions for both businesses and individuals. In addition to traditional planning concepts, Sam has focused on the development of a practical, “natural consequences,” based approach to customizing effective solutions on an individual basis. Sam McElroy graduated from Hampton University, magna cum laude, and holds several financial licenses. In addition to co-founding STRIDE Financial and STRIDE Investments, Sam also acts as a business consultant and holds a Doctorate in Psychology. Sam has always placed a large value on community involvement as well as education and has been the recipient of several Humanitarian and Achievement awards. Sam has also contributed research examining social dynamics and methods for optimizing cooperation and efficiency in team, group, and work settings, and is currently exploring unique insights with respect to the psychology of personal finance.

Eric Francque

Eric Francque is Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Education Series for STRIDE Financial and STRIDE Investments. A lifelong Chicagoan, Eric is responsible for overall marketing strategy and services including: educational development, event planning, client and database engagement, email marketing, social media channels, web/online presence, video production, and program development. Prior to joining STRIDE Financial, Eric served for 10 years as Marketing Communications Manager at the American Hospital Association (AHA) and is a longtime member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Eric has also managed marketing efforts with Jenner & Block, Deutsche Bank, Ernst and Young, Leapnet and The Second City Communications. Eric has been an active mentor volunteer with the Catholic Charities of Chicago and currently serves on the Chairman’s Advisory Council board of The Big Shoulders Fund.
